SAE Collegiate Club of GRIET

SOCIETY OF AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERS (SAE),India, is a worldwide information resource for everyone involved in the design and manufacture of all types of vehicles and components-passenger cars, trucks, farm and construction equipment, airplanes, and spacecraft. SAE India meetings, both at the national and section level, and other activities bring together engineering leaders from around the world to share information and discuss challenges. Internationally, SAE India members participate in the development of globally harmonized standards and recommended practices that make vehicles safer and more durable. Members will also have unique advantages like Free attendance at technical lecture meetings and seminars. Low member rates at specialty conferences,discounts on technical papers, standards and other SAE publications.

SAE Collegiate Club of GRIET: The collegiate Club at GRIET is inaugurated on 12 th of October by Sri. B. Srinivasa Murthy, Retired Professor IIT Madras. The inauguration is followed by the lectures by the eminent people from academicians and industrialists. On this festive occasion various competitions are conducted to foster the innate talents and encourage them to soar to greater heights. The various actvities to be taken up by the students chapter are

• Organising National level Events by the chapter

SAE student chapter of griet is formed on 12 October 2004 and is under the control of Department of Mechanical Engineering. The club presently has more than 84 student members and Two Faculty advisors.
