The EEE Department was established in the year 1997 with an annual intake of 40 students, which was enhanced to 60 students annualy from the year 2000, and to 120 in the year 2007 . The Department has requisite number of faculty members, striving to incorporate excellence in theory and practice. The following labs equipped with latest equipment enhance learning experience of the students.

• Each lab is constructed with modern facilities.
• Each lab is equipped with demo experiments along with the university prescribed experiments.
• The motors and instruments etc. are opened and exibited on tables in the laboratories for clear understanding of the students.
• In Electrical Measuremetns Lab, Power electronics Lab and the Networks lab each student operates on only one set-up independently.
• In the Power Electronics lab and Networks Lab each set-up is customised and equipped with an oscilloscope, Ac and regulated Dc power supplies, digital panel maters and bread boards.
• In the Control Systems Lab apart from the prescribed equipment , a highly sophisticated set-up supplied by M/s.Feedback, UK is avaliable to study the response to various updatesto the system.
• The DC Machines Lab has been organised on industrial pattern. Each panel consists of SCR drive with built-in-ramp, digital panel meters, electromagnetic relays and minature circuit breakers.
• These laboratries have been established with internal expertise. Consulty services were provided by GRIET to other colleges to set up the laboratories.
• AICTE has sanctioned MODROBS Scheme to modernise the machines lab.
• AICTE has also sanctioned Staff Development Program to the department to conduct training program for the young staff of various engineering colleges.
