The ECE Department was established in the year 1997 with an annual intake of 40 students, which was enhanced to 90 students annualy from the year 2002, and to 120 in the year 2006. The Department has requisite number of faculty members, striving to incorporate excellence in theory and practice.

Our laboratories and teaching methods of mixing theory sessions with laboratory practice were appreciated by The All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) inspection team. The deparment is having all the followinf fully equipped laboratories

Further the department is conducting study experiments in addition to the JNTU prescribed experiments for better understanding of subjects.
The Departments is conducting Scientific-Forstep, a Techno-Exibition every year (science 2001). The students of all the classes including 1st year are making exhibits in the area of consumer electronics. This will enable students to acquire enterpreneurial skills during the study days itself.
Futher the Department organises guest lectures by eminent scientists and engineers from government departments and private sector in areas of telecommunications, process control and embedded systems etc.
Every year the students of all years of ECE depatmant undertake visits to ISO companies which are manufacturing products in telecommunications, antennas and sub-stems for defence & space applications.
The main thrust of ECE Department is to provide better quality education required by the present indusrty and train the faculty in new technologies periodically to equip themselves in the present global scenario. |
